It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Grace "Marguerite" Belyea, loving wife of the late Charles F. Belyea, which occurred on Sunday, February 05, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, after a period of failing health. Born in Saint John on March 28, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Reginald and Grace (Turnbull) Hillier. Marguerite was a woman of deep faith, living the message of the Gospel’s love each day. She was a member of the Brown’s Flat Baptist Church and a former member of Main Street Baptist Church, and was a Dominion Life Member of the Women’s Missionary Society. In her spare time, Marguerite enjoyed flower gardening, quilting, and sewing. She lost her loving husband Charles in 1986, following 44 years of marriage. She was a loving mother to sons Neal (Debbie) of Quispamsis, Barry (Cherri) of Quispamsis, and Lowell (Rosemary) of Saint John West. She was a loving grandmother to Stephen, Jennifer, Kim (Lee), Heidi (Dan), and Joel; great grandmother to Cameron, Kennedy, Peyton, Lauren, Ethan, Adam, Anna, and Aidan. Marguerite will also be missed by her close cousins Ruth Hansard, Judy Gregg, and Don Golding. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, and was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Belyea, and by brothers Murray and Donald Hillier.
