Obituary of Harold Norman Maki
Surrounded by his family the death of Harold Maki, husband of Joan Yvonne (Parker) Maki occurred at Bobby’s Hospice on Monday, November 14, 2011 after a period of failing health. He was born on January 5, 1929 at Toronto, ON to the late Emil and Mary (Stenberg) Maki. Harold worked for many years at Moosehead Breweries retiring as an Electrical Supervisor. He was an avid gardener, known for his fabulous Peony Plants. In his youth, Harold enjoyed Scuba Driving and Motorcycling. His hobbies included restoring Pianos. He loved to sew quilts and anything having to do with working in his workshop. Harold was well liked by all who knew him. He was a hard worker all his life but his family always came first. Besides his loving wife of over 47 years, Joan, Harold is survived by a daughter, Caroline Cosman (Randy) of Rothesay; sons: Kenneth of Rothesay and James (Sheila) of Toronto, ON and grandchildren: Talicia and Devin. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Allan. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Friday, November 18 2011 at 2:00 PM. For those who wish, remembrances to Bobby’s Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
