So sorry to hear of the loss of John. I had many dealings with him over the years when he was at the Engineering Dept. and he always had a great smile and was a pleasure to know. My condolences to his entire family.

I was very saddened by the news of Johns sudden passing. I have only happy memories of John from over the years...from being at his house trick or treating and seeing how happy he was for us to be there...from seeing him down at Withers during the summer, to having nice catch up chats whenever we bumped into eachother. A big loss for our community. I wish Nelda and his friends and family my most sincere condolences.
My sincere condolences to Nelda and all of John's family, he was a very giving person especially when it involved the Long Reach Fire Department. During my first experience as the Emo coordinator during a flood around Darlings Island John was of great assistance to me by loaning his Argo to assist in transporting residents back and forth to the Island and would only accept compensation for repairs and maintenance to his vehicle.
