Your mother always comes to mind when I think of a chemistry symbol, which I used in nursing as well as biology. I noticed how feisty she was taking up boxing of late, but recall too how she came back to teach us at SRHS in a body cast after she broke her back at a grad tobogganing party in 1961. My condolences to Rita's family. I am the niece of Dar Bacon who taught for many years with "Rit". As Auntie Dar is now in a nursing home, I know she would want you to know how much she enjoyed and treasured Rita's friendship and the trips they took together. She was a very special lady.

My sincere sympathies to the family of Mrs. Hale. She was my Biology teacher back in 1986 and was MUCH loved by ALL of her students. We cannot say enough about this kind, sweet, compassionate lady. She will be missed, but ALWAYS remembered!! Rest well, sweet Mrs. Hale...you deserve it!
Mrs.Hale was my biology teacher at Simonds High back in 1967. What a wonderful lady and teacher!M She was so full of life and laughter. I have fond memories of her and a conversation we had before she went into the nursing home. Mrs. Hale will be missed by all those who knew her. Rita was a big part of our high school life and continued to be in touch with many of her former students. We certainly enjoyed the times she spent with us at our grad. reunions, at which we all were able to reconnect with so many faculty. On behalf of Simonds Class of '61, our heartfelt condolences.
Mrs Hale was a wonderful lady and a great teacher ! Had the privilege of having several chats with her at Kingsway while visiting family there . Always had a smile . She will be missed .
Mrs. Hale was one of the greatest teachers at SHS '84. She made Biology fun and a blessing to every student she ever taught. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her.
My condolences to Mrs Hales family. I too was a former student and I have to say Mrs Hale was a wonderful teacher and great inspiration to her students. I am a nurse and had the pleasure of taking care of Mrs Hale recently and I got to spend some time with her again after many many years. She was just the same! She will certainly be missed
I had the luck and pleasure of having Mrs. Hale as my grade 8 home room teacher and I have only good memories. When I entered the teaching profession myself and met her at a teachers' conference, she told me it was ok to call her Rita now, but you know, I just vouldn't do that! Prayers for her and her family.
