Obituary of Mary Mai Smith
Mary Mai (Brennan) Smith of Upham, wife of Kenneth L. Smith, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2010 at her residence. Born at St. Basile on May 4, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Emile and Yvonne (Beaulieu) Michaud. Mary liked playing bingo, and enjoyed music and dancing, but most of all loved her family. In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by her children, Sandra Brennan (Rob), Keith Brennan (Darlene), Donna Fillmore (Brian), and Mark Brennan (Kathy), all of Saint John; grandchildren Jason, Alisha, Melissa, Samantha, Rebecca, Mallory, Spencer, Andrew, Emily, Jennifer, Kourtney, Kristyn, Mitchell, and Kyla; great grandchildren Trinity and Abigail; brothers and sisters Rita Beaulieu of Plaster Rock, Claude Michaud of Coles Island, Gisele Coote of Winnipeg, MB, Colette Justason, Guy Michaud, Richard Michaud, and Linda Vernall, all of the Saint John area; stepchildren Leonard Smith (Jennie-Lee), Leslie Smith (Sue), and Rachel Duffley (Ryan) and their son Liam;and several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her first husband, Lawrence Brennan; and by brothers and sisters Louis Michaud, Lucy Pursey, Joan Hennessey, Ovila Michaud, Sylvio Michaud, and Dorina Michaud. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday from 7-9 PM and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 2:00 PM. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
