Obituary of Margaret Adelia Bond
Surrounded by her loving family, the death of Margaret Bond, wife of the late Arthur Bond occurred on Monday, March 21, 2011 after a period of failing health. She was born on July 26, 1921 at Cumberland Bay to the late William and Florence (Barton) Lyons. Margaret worked for A.C. Neilsons Ltd. as a processor and counter for many years until her retirement. She was a member of Portland United Church. Margaret is survived by sons: Arthur (Mary), Robert (Barbara), and Allan (Helen) all of Saint John; daughter Nancy White of Garnett Settlement; brother, Larry (Bev); daughter-in-law, Marguerite Bond; sisters-in-law: Margaret Lyons, and Hilda Bond; many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; parents; son, James; son-in-law, Cecil White and two brothers: Orland and Barton. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to Portland United Church or the Extra-Mural Program would be appreciated by the family.
