Obituary of J. Edmond Jacquard
It is with sadness that we announce the sudden death of Edmond Jacquard, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle which took place at the Saint John Regional Hospital on November 22, 2018. Born in Wedgeport, NS on February 28, 1934, he was a son of the late Existe and Olive (Bourque) Jacquard.
Edmond dedicated his life to his family and over 40 years of work at the Canadian Coast Guard. He was a loyal husband to Phyllis for 50 years until her passing in 2005. He enjoyed family, get togethers, music, moonlit nights at Saints Rest Beach, meeting with friends at Tim Hortons and Lancaster Mall and especially spending time with his special friend Sandra Baird. Edmond had a real love for life and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Edmond will be missed by his children: Michael (Sharon), Terry (Margaret), John, Wayne (Gina) and Dale (Brian); grandchildren, Ashley, Shyla (Michael), Jillian (Tim), Cindy, Sarah (Brian), Danielle, Cory; great-grandchildren, Carter, Brooke, Max, Zachary, Armoni, Emily, Anna, Marcus and Jayson; siblings, Nathan and Marie; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Edmond was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis (Smith); his step-mother Elizabeth, and his siblings James and Lorretta.
Edmond will be resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Sunday, November 25th from 2pm – 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Holy Redeemer Parish (St. Pius X) 316 Somerset Street, Saint John on Monday at 11:00 am. Interment will be held and Fernhill Cemetery at a later date. Remembrances to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Online condolences may be placed at www.BrenansFH.com
