Obituary of Annette Gwendoelyne Walsh
After a brief illness, the death of Gwen Walsh, life partner of Ronald "Ron" Thibideau occurred at Bobby’s Hospice on Friday, December 23, 2011. She was born on December 1, 1941 at Winnipeg, MB to the late William and Dorthy (Wright) Pawlyk. Gwen worked for over 15 years at Wendy’s until her retirement. Gwen was an avid gardener having beautiful flower gardens. She had a passion for camping on the Big Salmon River, St. Martins, and had a lot of fond family memories from that time. Gwen loved to cook; her two most famous dishes, cabbage rolls and perogies. She spent hours listening to Ron play his guitar, loving every minute. But above all, Gwen devoted her life to her family; she was selfless, always giving of herself never wanting anything in return. Besides her life partner, Ron; she is survived by her sons: Eric (Cecile) of Quispamsis, Mark (Shelley) of Tumbler Ridge, BC and Troy (Betsy) of Dawson Creek, BC; daughters: Debra Bennett (Leslie) of St. Martins and Lorie Vey (Bob) of Edmonton, AB; brother, Byrne Pawlyk; two sisters: Connie and Myrna sister-in-law, Sharon; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was predeceased by her parents, infant daughter, Tracy Lynn and brother, Wayne. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Monday from 7-9 PM and Tuesday From 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 10 AM from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish remembrances to Bobby’s Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
