Obituary of Enid Marion Greenlaw
Enid Marion Greenlaw of Saint John, wife of the late Douglas Vernon Greenlaw, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 6, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Saint John on April 28, 1915, she was the daughter of the late James "J.R." and Ellen Maude (Woodworth) Currie. Enid enjoyed sewing and flower gardening, and was a wonderful cook. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Enid is survived by a daughter, Janet Magee (Bob) of Saint John; a daughter-in-law, Anne Greenlaw of Saint John; grandchildren Rob Magee (Tracey), Angie McDonald (Steven), Brian C. Greenlaw (Julie), Stephen Greenlaw, and Beth Fair; great grandchildren Samantha McDonald, Jason McDonald, Brenden Magee, Tara Magee, Daniel Fair, Lila Fair, and Kelly Greenlaw; and several nieces and nephews. Enid was predeceased by a son, Brian D. Greenlaw; brothers Laurie and Meredith Currie; a sister, Margaret Carson; and a half sister, Ollie Currie. The family would like to extend special thanks to caregivers Dorothy, Brenda, Cyndi, and Sandra. In keeping with Enid’s wishes, a private family funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Kidney Foundation of Canada, or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
