Obituary of Kathryn Marilyn Baxter
Passed away peacefully but unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday August 24, 2011. Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, daughter of the late Thelma and Gordon Ross. Kathryn was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. A graduate of Morrison Glace Bay High School and Acadia University. In her early years Kathryn was an Administrative Assistant with House Hold Finance Sydney, and a Relocation Sales Associate for Prudential Realty. She was a member of the Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire. A community volunteer, an avid gardener spending many hours in her garden and had a great passion for travel. She is survived by her daughter Kathy Baxter and Robert Baxter, Saint John; sister Karen Moffatt (Robert), Charlottetown, PEI; sister in law Roberta Mott (Lester), Saint John; Grandchildren John and Emily Baxter Quispamsis and Kate Higson, Saint John. She was predeceased by her husband Malcolm Robert Baxter and daughter Wendy Karyn Baxter. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row , Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Friday, August 26, 2011 from 5-8 pm. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke of New Brunswick would be appreciated by the family. A special thank you to the Intensive Care Staff of the Saint John Regional Hospital for their professional and compassionate care.
