Obituary of Michael Paul Cormier
It is with great sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of Michael Paul Cormier, husband of Brenda-Lee (Best) Cormier, which occurred on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at his residence. Born in Montreal, Quebec on July 22, 1952 he was a son of the late Ivan and Jessie (MacIntyre) Cormier. Michael was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He worked as an electrician for 37 years and was a loyal member of I.B.E.W local 502. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Brenda-Lee; two sons, Mark (Jill) of Hampton and David of Quispamsis; two grandchildren who were the apple of his eye, Kayden and Ryler; two brothers, Phillip and Max both of Saint John; mother-in-law, Anna Clare Best; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; two nieces and three nephews. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, December 8, 2011 from 7- 9 PM and Friday, December 9, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Mark’s Church, 171 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 9:30 AM. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or any charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
