Obituary of Robert Wayne Doucette
Robert Wayne Doucette of Saint John passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Bobby’s Hospice, following a battle with leukemia. Born at Saint John on May 12, 1954, he was a son of the late Edward Arthur and Lillian Mae (Sheehan) Doucette. Wayne served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 5 years, and subsequently moved to Vancouver where he was employed in the computer technology field, and also taught music. He loved to read, and played and recorded with a band while living in Vancouver. Wayne is survived by a daughter, Melanie; his siblings, Katherine Kincade (Larry), Dawn Doucette, Paul Doucette (Cathy), Pauline Scopie (Kenny Ferron), Terry Cullins (Howard), Ernie Doucette, and Beth Mulherin (Randy), all of Saint John; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Wayne was predeceased by a brother, Arthur Edward Doucette, and by a sister, Deborah Doucette. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday, December 26, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 12:00 Noon from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at a later date in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or Bobby’s Hospice would be appreciated by the family. Please place online condolences and remembrances at www.brenansfh.com.
