Obituary of Veronica Theresa Cantwell
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Veronica Theresa (Lyver) Cantwell of Saint John announces her passing which occurred on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Bobby’s Hospice with her daughter Donna by her side. Born on November 2, 1938 in Corner Brook, NL, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (McCarthy) Lyver.
Veronica will be lovingly remembered by her cherished partner, John Richard; sons, Bill Cantwell (Chantelle Sinclair), Walter Cantwell (Lisa Cyr Cantwell) and Troy Richard (Nancy); daughters, Donna Vogel - devoted caregiver (Kim Canning), Angela Cantwell, Shirley Heron (Scott) and April Maber (Chris); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; first husband, Kevin Cantwell; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and members of her extended family. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her granddaughter, Savannah, four brothers and one sister.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. The funeral liturgy will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 2:00 PM.
For those who wish, remembrances made to Bobby’s Hospice, Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
