Obituary of Margaret Murray
It is with great sadness the family of Margaret Murray announce her passing on Saturday December 1, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Scotland on March 3, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Lindsay) Allan.
Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Archie; children, Margaret (Kyle), Linda (Ed), Gordon and Ian (Sherry) all of Saint John; brother, Frank Allan of Scotland; grandchildren, Linda, Edward, Alex, Paisley, Duncan and Emma. She was predeceased by her sister, Nan Anderson and brother, Robert Allan.
Margaret loved to sew and knit, was known for her jigsaw puzzles and loved to be the one at social gatherings to take the family photos. In her earlier years she was very involved with the Saint John Soccer Club. She especially enjoyed her times visiting her good friend, Esther Shanks, at the Chateau de Champlain and became known to everyone there as Margaret from Paisley! She will be missed by all who knew her.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A celebration of Margaret’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 10:00 AM in Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, and for those who wish, remembrances in Margaret’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or a charity of the donor’s choice. www.BrenansFH.com.
