Obituary of Kyle Mckay Collins
It is with great sadness that the family of Kyle Collins of Saint John, announce his death on August 13th, 2011, at his home. Born in Saint John, on September 30th, 1985, he was the son of Vivian (Armstrong) Martin (Brian) of Saint John and Jerry Collins (Gale) of Quispamsis. Kyle was employed at Bayview Trucks & Equipment as a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed fishing and had many fond memories of his time spent hunting with his grandfathers. As a boy, Kyle spent nine years actively participating in the scouting program at Lakewood Heights. He will always be remembered as a loving son, partner, brother and friend. Besides his parents, Kyle is also survived by his partner, Laura Rowe and her daughter Aliyah of Saint John; sister, Tegan Collins and brother, Tyler Collins of Saint John; maternal grandparents, Melva and Mack Armstrong of St. Stephen; paternal grandmother, Ferne Collins of St. Stephen; aunts and uncles, Dennis and Sylvia Armstrong, Judy and Wayne Hicks, Sandra and Peter Parks, Susan and Kevin Stevenson, Danny and Susan Collins, Donna and Bill Beverly; several great-aunts and uncles; many cousins; step-siblings; as well as, companion, Dyson the dog. Kyle was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Fred Collins. Arrangements are entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (506) 634-7424, with visitation on Tuesday, August 16th, 2011 from 12:30-2:30 PM. Following visitation, a memorial service will be held from the chapel of Brenan’s Funeral Home at 3:00 PM. For those who wish, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
