Obituary of Frances Ida Leach
Frances Ida Leach passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, February 19, 2012. Born in Saint John on March 2, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Ethel (Williams) Parks. Frances graduated from Saint John High School and Saint John Vocational School (Commercial). She was a Medical Laboratory Technologist and was employed at the Provincial Laboratory. Frances moved to Montreal and then to Ontario, returning to Saint John in 1994. The last two years she was a resident of the St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home. In addition to her parents she predeceased by her sisters: Ethel Campbell and Lillian Anderson. She is survived by a brother, Arnold Parks (Zola) of Saint John and nieces, Victoria and Sonya Jane and several nephews. In keeping with Frances’ wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will be held in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). For those who wish, remembrances to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
