Obituary of Helen Georgia Stein
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Helen (Hunnie) Stein, at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, December 11th, 2018. Helen was surrounded by her family as she left this earth, to be welcomed into heaven by the Angels who were preparing for her arrival.
Helen was a cherished sister, aunt, God mother and friend to so many. Those of us who knew Helen were blessed by her presence. She was employed with T.S. Simms for over 30 years. She loved her dog, Abbie and was an avid knitter.
Helen will be lovingly remember by her brothers: Percy (Marlene) and Dougie (Glenda); sisters: Jennie Mitchel (Frank), Betty Ring (Bobby), Donna Breau (Roger), Hilda Micholuk (Bob), Shirley Stein and Judy LeBlanc (Paul); special little sister, Anne Marie Nickerson; sister-in-law, Georgie Stein and friend, Sheila Beck. Special in her life was her many special nieces and nephews: Kristen, Kaela, Heidi, Bryanna, Kymeiko, Lisa, Geodie, Terry, Bobby, Kevin, Wayne, Randy, Terry, Cathy, Donnie, Lori, Brian, Tammy, Susan, Rickey, Tony, Heather, Krista, and Douglas. Helen’s joy grew with the addition of her dozens of great nieces and great nephews. Helen provided so much love and comfort to all of her nieces and nephews and extended family. Although we will miss Helen’s physical presence, we will have a lifetime of fond memories to share with generations to come.
Helen was predeceased by her parents George and Lillian (Albert) Stein; brothers: Junior, Ray and Donnie Stein; nephew, Roger Breau Jr.; her special friend Joseph Gogan, along with her four legged friend, Abbie.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff of 5CN for their continued care and support during Helen’s illness.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 2:00 pm. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society (NB) or a charity of the Donor’s Choice would be appreciated by the family
