Obituary of Mary Hazel Flynn
Surrounded by her family, Mary Hazel Flynn, the companion of Marlyn Morrell, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born on August 12, 1930 in Cardigan, PE to the late Duncan and Regina (MacMaster) MacDonald. Besides being a loving wife and dedicated mother, Mary worked many years for Connors Brothers Ltd. in Black’s Harbour. Mary is survived by four sons: Gerald MacDonald (Nancy) of Saint John, David Flynn (Rose) and Ralph Flynn both of Brampton, ON and Kenneth Flynn (Virginia) of Mississauga, ON; three daughters: Marie Dawn (Kenny) of Halifax, NS and Lorraine Flynn (Mark Hudson) and Rosalie Gaudet (John); one brother Michael of PEI; five sisters; Bernice, Rita, Georgina, Sarah and Annie all PEI; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband Alphonsus Flynn; daughter, Elaine; son, Earl; grandson, Gerald Jr.; one brother Joseph MacDonald and one sister Clemmie Somers. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Pius X Church, 316 Somerset Street, Saint John on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 11 AM. Interment will take place in Stella Maris Cemetery, Black’s Harbour, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family
