Obituary of Emma Edith Kyle
While we celebrate a life well lived; we grieve for the passing of Emma Edith Kyle, which occurred on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Charles Kyle for 45 years, and devoted mother to Judy McCavour (Floyd Morrissey), Murray (Leah) Kyle, Ann Kyle-Wade (Gregory). Edith was born on January 3, 1941 in Sussex, NB and was a daughter of the late Murray and Evelyn (Lynch) Linden.
Edith was employed in the Insurance Industry for over 50 years and was a member of the Ladies Insurance Association for many years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling and attending her Ladies Cards Night. Edith saw the world through her travels to Singapore, New York, Vancouver and Las Vegas. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed their trips camping in Cambridge Narrows.
Edith was a feisty woman with a cheeky personality, who was kind, thoughtful and loving. She opened her heart and door to all, without judgement and touched the lives of so many. She will be missed and warmly remembered by her 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, her sisters: Jean (John) Demerson and Joyce (Willard) Chatwin, her niece and best friend Janie Dell’Anno, her long time friends: Bridget Hornyak, Nancy Walsh-Weaver along with many nieces, nephews and members of her extended family.
Besides her parents and husband, Edith was predeceased by her brother Ira Lynch.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) where visitation will take place on Monday, December 17 from 2-4 and 6-8. A Funeral Service will be held from St. Paul’s Church, 4 Church Ave, Rothesay, on Tuesday, December 18 at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Edith’s kindness, the family would appreciate donations of non-perishable food items to be donated to St. Paul’s Church Food Drive or memorials to Bobby’s Hospice.
