Obituary of Carole Ann Laird
It is with great sadness that the family of Carole Ann (Black) Laird of Manchester, NH, announce her passing on Dec. 28, 2010 as the result of a highway accident at St. George, NB. Born in Saint John on August 29, 1939, Carole was the daughter of Margaret E. Black and the late Roy C. Black. She had been employed by the Catholic Medical Centre in Manchester for the past 27 years of her 51 year nursing career. She was predeceased by her father, Roy, in 1995 and her husband of 40 years, James Stewart, in 2001. She is survived by her mother, Margaret E. Black and her brother, Dave Black (Faye) of Saint John, NB; her children, Diane M. McCloskey (Mike) of Chandler, AZ, James Steven Laird (Stefanie) of East Lyme, CT, Heather Ann Laird of Huntersville, NC, and Colleen Lundholm (Paul) of Concord, CA; nine grandchildren: Ian, Cailen, Victoria, Alexandra, Kyle, Katie, Kolten, Miranda, Hannah and her nieces and nephew. Visitation will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424) on Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 31, 2010 from Brenan's Chapel on Paradise Row in Saint John, NB. Cremation will follow with burial at Old Cedar Hill Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish remembrances made to the American or Canadian Cancer Society’s would be appreciated by the family.
