Obituary of Margaret Rose Roy

The death of Margaret R. "Peggy" Roy of Saint John, the wife of the late Gordon J. "Gordie" Roy, occurred on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at home. Born in Saint John, She was a daughter of the late William and Jennie (Appleby ) Beman. Peggy worked at Ruth Ross from 1988 and until her retirement in 1999, in which she enjoyed working and spending time with the sisters. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Susan and Dave; granddaughter, Jennie Elizabeth Rose Hanlon; step-daughters; Lynda Kee and Darlene (Chris) MacDonald; step-grandchildren, Charlie Kee, Mike McDonald and Tiffany McDonald; brothers, Edward (Marion) Beman; Robert (Alma) Beman and Fraser (Jody) Beman; sisters, Bette (Reid) Campbell; Dianna (Hugh) Cameron. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by brothers, Basil ‘Jack" Beman and James Beman; and sister, Lillian O’Brien. The funeral Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Keeping with Peggy’s wishes, there will be a graveside service at a later date. Family and friends are welcome to a time of reception at, 9 Nova Drive, Latimore Lake Trailer Park, on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers a donation in memory of Peggy may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or to I.W.K Health Centre.
