Obituary of Hattie Elvira Mahoney
Hattie Elvira Mahoney of Saint John, NB, wife of the late William "Bill" Mahoney, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2013 at her residence. Born in Keirsteadville, NB on August 3, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Augusta (McQuinn) Leonard. An important part of Hattie’s life was her family and friends.Hattie is survived by her son, William "Billy" Mahoney; eight cousins, David (Ruth) McQuinn, Alice (David) Hatfield, Paul (Arlene) McQuinn, John (Verna) McQuinn, Ella Morand, Lois (Harry) Morrell, Walter (Cheryl) McQuinn and Dale (Bob) Burnett and their families; special friends, Annette Hebert and Marion Verner and several other friends. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, brother, Emery Leonard, as well as five uncles, Fred, Hubert, Lloyd, Roy and Eldon and infant aunt, Stella. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013 from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish remembrances may be made to any charity of the donor’s choice.
