Obituary of Marion Elizabeth O'Connor
It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Marion Elizabeth O’Connor of Erb’s Cove, wife of Everett O’Connor, which occurred on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the Sussex Health Centre. Born on January 11, 1937 in Perry’s Point, NB, she was a daughter of the late Percy and Mary (Clark) Lamb. Marion loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her so much joy. She loved to socialize, play cards, cook and spend time gardening. In addition to her husband of 55 years, Marion is survived by her children, Murray (Hillary) of Sussex, NB, Brent (Pamela) of Hampton, NB, Robert (Sherry) of Rothesay, NB, Gary (Kate) of Saint John, and Lana Purcell (Galen) of Magnolia, Delaware; grandchildren Ryan (Sabrina), Tara (Andrew), Austin, Bradley, Patrick, Caitlin, Amanda, Amelia, Brittany, Meghan, and Curtis; great grandchildren Hillary, Morgan, Drew, and Ryan Jean; siblings Percy Lamb (Mary) of Quispamsis, Donnie Lamb (Annette) of Hampton, Fred Lamb of Hampton, Marina Lemon (Clifford) of Sussex, Helen Jones (Fred) of Penobsquis, and Alma Erb of French Village; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Marion was predeceased by her brothers Wilfred (Willie) and Murray Lamb. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Holy Trinity Church, Rockland Road, Saint John, on Monday, October 15, 2012 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
