Obituary of Stanley Martin Hewitt
Surrounded by his family the death of Butch Hewitt, husband of Lois (Godwin) Hewitt occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, August 10, 2013. He was born on February 15, 1943 in Lakewood to the late Helen (Williams) and Henry Hewitt. Butch worked construction and was a founding and life member of the Local 842 Ironworkers until his retirement. He enjoyed various hobbies especially fishing, gardening and many hours in his garage with his friends and neighbours. Besides Lois, his wife of over 47 years, Butch is survived by his sons, Chris (Diane) of Upper Loch Lomond and Tim (Sarah) of Vancouver; granddaughter, Isobel Ana; brother, Bradley; sisters: Dorothy, Barbara, Ann, and Elizabeth; brothers-in-law: Roland (Jeanne) and Norman; sisters-in-law: Eileen, Phyllis and Anne Marie; special niece, Pamela and several other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, George and sisters: Patricia and Ruth. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Saint James Lakewood, 2000 Loch Lomond Road on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 11:00 am. For those who wish remembrances to the Palliative Care Unit (SJRH) or the Extra Mural Program would be appreciated by the family.
