Obituary of Henry Stephen Flood
The unexpected death of Henry Stephen Flood of Rothesay occurred of natural causes on Saturday, May 25, 2013. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Dr. Harry Flood and Joan (Kinsella) Flood. Henry graduated from Saint John High School, and the University of New Brunswick. He was the President of Neptune Publishing, for which he traveled the province extensively. Henry was a lifelong athlete, coach, and sport volunteer. He was passionate about rowing, running, and skiing. Over the years, he generously contributed his time, energy, and resources to the Kennebecasis Rowing and Canoe Club, Rothesay High School, and various community organizations and causes. Henry is survived by his wife of 24 years, Susan (Webber); four daughters, Kristen, Anna, Bridget, and Claire; two sisters, Dianne Sharpe (Kim), and Maureen Clarke (Vern); two brothers, Brian Flood (Carolyn), and Christopher Flood (Pauline Lordon); his mother-in-law Jean Webber, his father’s second wife Muriel Flood; three brothers-in-law, Robert Webber (Tracy Gorman), John Webber (Judy), and David Webber (Jennifer Ruth); and, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Dr. Harry & Joan Flood and his father-in-law Fred Webber. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday from 7-9 and Thursday 2-4 & 7-9. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 31, 2013 at 11 am from Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Rothesay, NB. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to PRO KIDS or donor’s choice.
