Obituary of Carol Jean Woodroffe

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Carol Jean Woodroffe, wife of the late R. Duncan Woodroffe, which occurred on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Embassy Hall with her loving family at her side. Born on March 13, 1931 in Hammondvale, NB she was a daughter of the late Sherman and Hazel (Anderson) Alexander. Jean worked as a Radiation Technologist at the General and the Saint John Regional Hospital for many years. She was a member of Probus and was also a member of the Altar Guild and the ACW at St. James Anglican Church Lakewood. Jean loved spending time with the Golden Girls Club. Jean is survived by her daughters, Sheree (William) Trecartin of Darlings Island; Lori (Jim Doyle) Woodroffe of Quispamsis and Robin (Brad) White of Quispamsis; seven grandchildren, Vicki Gillespie, Krista Connell, Lindsey Trecartin, Brad Trecartin, Jillyn Parks, Duncan Parks and Mitchell Doyle; three step-grandchildren, Taylor, Jamie and Jacob White; sister-in-laws, Doreen Woodroffe and Eileen (Alexander) Cole; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, one brother, Milan Alexander; two sisters, Lois Jones and Alene Forsythe. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from St. James Church, Lakewood on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM with reception to follow. A private family burial will be held at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the Alzheimer Society or any charity of the donor’s choice.
