Obituary of Althene May Cropley
Althene May Cropley of Saint John, wife of the late Earle J. Cropley, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, October 12, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Alice (MacKenzie) McConnell. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a Medical Radiation Technologist at St. Joseph's Hospital in Saint John. Althene is survived by her children, Robert "Bob" Cropley (Gail) of Saint John, Paul Cropley (Debbie) of Strathroy, ON, Deborah Cochran (John) of Bloomfield, Ronald Cropley (Cathy) of Saint John, Daniel Cropley (Sheryl) of Strathroy, Donald Cropley (Tracey) of Quispamsis, Terry Cropley (Krista) of Quispamsis, and Lorna Carrier (Ron) of Saint John; a sister, Mary-Lou Kitchen of London, ON; 10 grandchildren, Alex Cropley, Jacqueline and Jillian Cochran, Stuart, Matthew, Tyler, Caleb, Joshua, Jacob Cropley, and Christopher Carrier; and several nieces and nephews. Althene was predeceased by a sister, Roberta Lynch. In keeping with Althene’s wishes, all funeral services will be private. For those who wish, remembrances to St. James’ Anglican Church (Lakewood) or the John T. McMillan Jr. Memorial Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
