Obituary of Ella Barbara White
White, Ella Barbara – With appreciation for a life well-lived, the family of Ella B. White announces her passing, which occurred on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her family by her side. Born in French Village on December 12, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mabel (Langstroth) Scullion and is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Ella was an avid gardener, reader, accomplished cross stitcher and was known for knitting Christmas stockings for family and friends. She enjoyed cards and socializing at seniors group in Renforth. Ella will be missed by her daughters, Deborah White-Chisholm (Brian) and Lou Anne Miller (Peter); son, Douglas White (Sue); grandchildren, Patrick White (Tanya), Gregory White (Stephanie), Adam White (Martha), Ted McGregor (Ariana), Erin Miller, Meghan Miller, Austin White and Kate White; nine great grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews and sister-in-law and best friend, Clara Stackhouse. In addition to her parents, Ella was predeceased by her husband Walter C. White; a son, W. Donald White; great granddaughter, Elly White; her siblings, Dorothy Dallon, Ronald Scullion, Mabel Long, Mary Smith, Margaret Beyea, Emma McKay, Clifford Scullion, George Scullion and Ruth Ladner. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 31 Gondola Point Road, Rothesay on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Loyalist Acadian Cemetery, French Village. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to any charity of the donor’s choice.
