Obituary of Sidney Vernon Betts

Sidney "Sid" Betts, husband of June (Ogden) Betts, passed away on February 14, 2016 at Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on May 12, 1937 in River Hebert, Nova Scotia. He was a son of the late Graham Thomas and Lillian Jean (Fairley) Betts. Besides his wife, June, he is survived by his stepchildren, Susan (Bob) Short, Saint John; Timothy Logan, Clarendon; Roger Logan (Karlana Gognon), Hartland; Debra Logan (Michael Chisholm), Summerville; step-grandchildren, Evan Short, Brandon Logan, Hayley Logan, Kandis Baltis, Belinda Logan, Cody Logan, Tyler Logan, Makaila Chisholm and Kiara Chisholm; brother, Wallis James ‘Jim" Betts, Toronto; sister, Ruby Duffy, Ontario; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, N.B., (634-7424). At Sid’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in Sid’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, would be appreciated.
