Obituary of Gertrude Ann Maier

The death of Gertrude "Trudy" Maier of Saint John occurred on Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on April 3, 1935 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eileen (Morrison) Kinsella. Trudy lived in the United States for 42 years and upon retirement returned home to Saint John. She had a true love of classical music and enjoyed participating in musicals and operettas. Trudy also had a lifelong interest in European antiques and collectables. Trudy is survived by her daughter, Carol Adrienne Maier Bergeron (Corrie) of Cleveland, Ohio; grandchildren, Evan, Rachel, Zachary and Olivia Bergeron; as well as many special friends. Besides her parents, Trudy was also predeceased by her aunt, Maisie. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Monday, October 24, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
