Obituary of Beverley Jane Bishop

It is with great sadness the family of Beverley "Bev" Jane (Seeley) Bishop, wife of David F. Bishop, announce her passing, which occurred on Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Bev was born on June 20, 1949 in Saint John to the late E. Lorne and Louise (Maxwell) Seeley. Bev attended Beaconsfield Middle School and graduated from St. Vincent’s High School. She worked as a cashier at Superstore and her co-workers truly loved her. She was very family oriented, and incredibly strong. She was a trooper and always game for trying anything once. Bev’s greatest attribute was how much she loved her husband. She was his partner, his rock and strength, and his support system all wrapped into one. They were the love of each other’s lives, sharing 47 years of marriage. She is survived by her husband David; her two sons Anthony Bishop (Mary); and Robert Bishop; sisters Brenda Seeley (Allan); and Norma Seeley (Murray); three grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents E. Lorne Seeley and Louise (Maxwell) Seeley. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). As per Bev’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances in memory of Bev may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
