Obituary of Margaret Mary Rackley
Rackley, Margaret Mary – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Margaret M. Rackley announces her passing, which occurred on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Ridgewood Veteran’s Wing. Born in Bathurst, NB on January 28, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Anthime "Tim" and Gertrude (Arseneau) Malley. Margaret had a great love for any kind of social event, especially bowling and card games with her friends. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling. Margaret will be missed by her daughter, Doris Rackley (Daniel); seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a sister, Cecile Jones. In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Ronald S. Rackley in 1990; her son Gordon Rackley in 2010; as well as her siblings, Francis "Tony" Malley, Gerald "Babe" Malley, Leo Malley and Peggy Cormier. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A graveside service will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 11:00 am. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Alzheimer Society of NB, Ridgewood Veterans Wing, or any charity of the donor’s choice.
