Obituary of Marie Patricia Hannah
With heavy hearts the family of Marie Hannah announce her passing on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born September 3, 1937 in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Burchill) Graham. Marie graduated from St. Vincent’s High School in 1955 and last worked as a Federal Public Servant for Health and Welfare Canada in Old Age Security. She enjoyed singing, camping, travelling, skiing, skating, square dancing with the Ties and Frills and getting together for card parties at St. Ann’s and St. Joachim’s Churches. Marie is survived by her daughters: Michele Clays (Michael) and their children, Alyssa and Ryan, and Charlene LeBlanc (Marc Hare), and her daughter, Sacha Jackson; son, James LeBlanc (Marsha) and their children, Tammy Lawson Auby (Dana) and Wayne Lawson (Meagan); step-children: Barbara, Sandra, Rodney Jr., Nancy, Richard (Heather) and their children Cassie and Jillian; brothers: James Graham (Georgie) and Ron Graham (Doreen); sister, Elaine Gibbon (Tom); and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Marie was predeceased by her first husband, Gerald J. LeBlanc; second husband, R. Rodney Hannah; brother, John Jr.; and sisters: Theresa McAuley and Ann Golding. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 12 pm until 2 pm, at which time the funeral service will be held. A private interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
