Obituary of Elizabeth Jane Moore

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth Jane (Murray) Moore announce her death which occurred on January 15, 2019 at Tucker Hall Shannex. Born on October 25, 1928 in French River, Pictou County, NS. She was the adopted daughter of the late Janet Ann (MacKenzie) and Robert Burns Murray. Elizabeth J. Moore is survived by her children: son Robert F. Moore (Darlene), of Rothesay, NB; daughter Margaret J. Murray (Dan), of New Maryland, NB and Cynthia Mott (Richard), of Prince of Wales, NB; 4 Grandchildren: Jeremy Mott (Laura-Lee), Robert Moore (Natasha), Christopher Moore (Tammy) and Mike Murray (Jackie); 3 Greatgrandchildren and her nieces and nephews. Elizabeth loved teaching and taught school in Nova Scotia. She taught crafts at New Lease in Saint John. Elizabeth loved to paint with oils, watercolor and acrylics. She made many sweaters for Cottage Craft in St. Andrews. Elizabeth worked as a practical nurse as well at the St. Vincent’s Convent and at the Ruth Ross Residence in Saint John, NB. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, January 18, 2019 from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place in Nova Scotia at a later date. Remembrances may be made to the SPCA, Alzheimer’s Society, Red Cross or a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be placed at www.brenansf.com.
