Obituary of Beatrice G. West

With appreciation for a life well-lived, the family of Beatrice G. West "Betty", loving wife of the late Alfred C. West, announces her passing which occurred on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Grand Manan, New Brunswick on February 14, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Alton and Edna (Foster) Cossaboom and is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Betty was a strong, intelligent woman who held various fulfilling careers. Her family was her greatest joy, and she will be missed by her only son, Robert West; three grandsons, Christopher, Nathan and Nicholas; one great granddaughter, Kaylee; as well as several extended family members. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). In keeping with Betty’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. A graveside service will take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to any charity of the donor’s choice.
