Obituary of Murray L. Sparks

Sparks, Murray – 65 of Saint John, NB, passed away suddenly on February 5, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by family. Born in East Preston, NS, to the late Lawrence and Edna (Taylor) Sparks. Murray was retired from the pipe trade and was a proud member of United Association Local 213 for over 30 years. He was a dedicated husband and father and was loved and respected by all who met him. He will be sadly missed by so many. Murray travelled for work but always called Dartmouth and Saint John his home. He had a love and passion for his white 2003 Cadillac but loved his 2 granddaughters even more. Murray is survived by his wife, Sylvia (nee Ritchie); daughter, Tiffany; two sons, Tyrell and Travis; granddaughters, Olivia and Aubrey; sisters, Daisy, Betty, Florence, Alma, Beverly (Basil); sister-in-law, Linda; brothers, Lawrence "Henry" (Sarah), Harold (Gail), George (Paula); as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, William and Bertha Sparks; maternal grandparents, George and Lavinia Taylor; brothers, Fredrick, Cecil and Michael and sister, Connie. Although there will be no funeral service, relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation and final goodbye at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424) on Monday, February 8, 2016 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. Also, the family will receive relatives and friends at Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth, NS (902-462-1434) on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM.
