Obituary of Mary Louise Trifts

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mary Louise (Bastian) Trifts announce her passing, which occurred on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born on September 25, 1952 in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Mary Mulherien. Mary lived her life for her family, if you knew her you loved her. She journeyed through life caring for everyone, which was demonstrated by her years of work at the Mediterranean Restaurant. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Tina McGarity (Craig); grandchildren: Emma and Evan McGarity; siblings: Timothy Bastian (Karen), Wanda Berube, Gerald Bastian, Randy Mulherien and Florence Bitters (Ron); special cousin, Connie Richards; special friend Raymond Love; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, Mary was also predeceased by her brother, Jimmy Bastian. The family would like to thank the Extra Mural Team, Oncology Department at the SJRH and the Staff at Bobby’s Hospice for your extraordinary care during Mom’s illness. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances in memory of Mary may be made to Bobby’s Hospice.
