Obituary of Joan Marie McKinnon
McKinnon, Joan Marie – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Joan Marie McKinnon, wife of the late Jerry Malcolm McKinnon, announces her passing, which occurred on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on January 3, 1958, she was a daughter of the late Bruce and Catherine (Hickey) Jordan. Joan will be missed by her children, Jessica McKinnon (Bobby Caissie) of Baxters Corner and Jerri McKinnon of Halifax, NS; her grandchildren, Kyle and Chloe; her siblings, Lorraine Gray (David), Ronnie Jordan (Brenda), Debbie Jordan, Donna Saulnier and her twin sister Judy Kemp (Kevin Hawkins); her beloved cat Lucy; many nieces, nephews and relatives; and her many friends in the North End. In addition to her parents and husband, Joan was predeceased by her brother, Kenny Jordan. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm. A celebration of Joan’s life will be held following visitation at 2:00 pm in Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. For those who wish, remembrances made to your local food bank, or the SPCA – Animal Rescue would be appreciated by the family.
