Obituary of Gladys M. Scott
The death of Gladys Mabel "Nancy" Scott of Saint John, occurred on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on November 5, 1928 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mabel (McLeod) Scott. Nancy was employed with Morrell’s Grocery for over 30 years. She enjoyed hunting with her brother Doug. She was an honorary member of the New Brunswick Kennel Club, a life member of the Canadian Kennel Club for over 50 years and served as president of the maritime toy dog club. Nancy was also a member of the Kennebecasis Garden Club. Nancy was the last surviving member of her family. She is survived by her close friends, Edwin "Sonny" Leonard and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Savoy, and her Persian cat, Misty. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Douglas Scott. As per Nancy’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at Fernhill Cemetery on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 2:00 PM. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
