Obituary of Dale Julius Ingersoll
It is with great sadness that the family of Dale Julius Ingersoll, husband to Marjorie (Earle)(Joy) Ingersoll, announces his passing, which occurred on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with his family and friends by his side. Born on April 13, 1943, Dale was the only child of the late Julius and Della (Green) Ingersoll. Dale was employed with Hub Meat Packers and Victory Meats for a number of years. He lived his life full of laughter and faith. He was a long-time member of Cornerstone Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Dale was passionate about traveling, photography, reading and good food. Above all, he took great pleasure in the time he spent with his family and friends. He will be fondly remembered for his humorous storytelling, and for the relationships he kept, as a thoughtful, ever present friend. Dale will be missed by all who knew him. Dale will be lovingly remembered by his surviving family, his wife Marjorie, his daughter Heidi Mew, his stepchildren: Ernest (Sarah) Joy, Norman (Melonie) Joy and Patti (Shawn) Healey, his grandchildren: Sarah and Anna Mew, Sidney Joy, Jerusha (Caleb) Richardson, Owen Joy, Beverly and Samantha Joy, Kate and Chris Healey along with members of his extended family: Mike Mew, Dianne Earle, Ken Anthony, Graham Stillwell, Bernie Tissington, Doug Shepherd and Jorgen Klausen. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where visitation will take place on Friday, October 21 from 2-4 and 6-9. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, October 22 at 2:00 PM from Cornerstone Baptist Church, 42 Leinster Street with interment to follow at Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, SJRH Palliative Care Unit or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
