Obituary of Audrey Ann Suttie
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Audrey Ann Suttie, loving wife of the late Harold R. Suttie, announces her passing which occurred on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Loch Lomond Village. She was born on November 2, 1928 to the late Seth and Sarah (MacDonald) Holt. Audrey attended Vocational School and was a sales associate at Woolco. She was a member of Forest Hills United Baptist Church; she enjoyed time at the Press Club and with her Friends from the Coffee Club at Walmart. Family was always her top priority and she was instrumental in organizing the first Holt Family Reunion. In Audrey’s later years, she delighted in the time she spent with her great grandchildren. Audrey will be remembered by her surviving family, her children: Kevin Suttie (Cheryl McCumons) and Kathy (Mike) Craig, her grandchildren: Krystal (Matthew) McQuade, Sarah Craig (Tony Arsenault), Kyle Suttie and Aaron (Chelsey) Craig, her great grandchildren: Jocelyn McQuade, Jillian Arsenault and Parker Craig, her sister, Elsie Peters, sisters-in-law: Doreen Holt, Barbara Wallace and Noreen Martin along with numerous nieces, nephews and members of her extended family. Besides her parents and husband Harold, Audrey was predeceased by her sisters: Eileen Appleton, Eunice Wilson and Ethel Butland and her brothers: James, Malcolm, William and Jack Holt. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where visitation will be held on Monday, May 9 from 6-8 and Tuesday, May 10 from 2-4 and 6-8. A Funeral Service will take place at Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 11 at 12:00 pm and interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the East Saint John Food Bank or to the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation.
