Born in Saint John, NB, she was a daughter of the late Philip and Theresa (O’Toole) Hodgson. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved spending time with them. Mary was outgoing and sociable. She loved reading, music and travel. She worked for several years at Calp’s and Colwell’s. Mary was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness for over 60 years. She is survived by her children: Barb Hannah, Sandra Hannah, Rodney (Lisa Baumann) Hannah, Nancy Hannah and Richard (Heather) Hannah; grandchildren: Cassie and Jillian Hannah; sister, Kathy (Mike) Monaghan; special nephew, David Hodgson; special nieces: Colleen Bowman, Kristine Todd, Carolyn Banks; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins and members of her extended family. Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her step-father, Arthur Scott; brother, James Hodgson; sisters: Barbara Hodgson and Rose Fuller. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Passamaquoddy Lodge who became Mom’s second family. Also, to the nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the Charlotte County Hospital who took such great care of Mom during her last days. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 2:00 pm from The Kingdom Hall, 2020 Loch Lomond Road, Saint John, NB.
