Obituary of Robert Douglas Dearman
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Robert "Bob" Douglas Dearman, husband of the late Elizabeth Dearman, announces his passing, which occurred on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. Born on January 26, 1947, Bob was a lifetime resident of Saint John. He was a son of the late Gordon and Inez (Miller) Dearman.
Bob served as a Private/Gunner in the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery. He worked as a stores technician in the Canadian Coast Guard until his retirement. He loved family functions and was a favorite uncle to his many nephews and nieces. He will be missed by his many friends at Pete’s and the Adanac Club.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters: Florence Crandall (Wayne) and Nancy MacDonald (Russell); brothers: Gordon "David" Dearman (April) and Clyde Dearman (Pat); sister-in-law, Valerie Dearman; special friend, Ruth Ross; along with many nephews and nieces.
In addition to his wife and parents, Bob was predeceased by brothers: John A. Dearman (Ann) and Paul Dearman.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Visitation will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A Tribute to a Veteran Service will be held at 7:00 PM. Interment will be held at Ocean View Memorial Gardens in the spring. Remembrances to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
