Obituary of Harold Allison Lawrence
It is with great sadness that the family of Harold Lawrence of Saint John announces his passing, which occurred on Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on November 20, 1951 in Saint John, he was the son of Estella (Davidson) Lawrence of Norton and the late Donald Lawrence. Harold had a long working career at the Saint John Dry Dock. He enjoyed coin collecting, going to auctions and dabbled in carpentry and woodworking. He will be sadly missed. In addition to his mother, Estella, Harold is also survived by his children, Eileen Bernatchez (Richard) of Saint John, Noreen Wisted (Jim) of Fredericton and Carla Bernatchez (Roland) of Saint John; siblings, Ellie McKeen of MB, Don Lawrence of SK, Jane Cormier (Joe) of Sussex, Carol Walsh of Saint John, Helen Lawrence of ON, David Lawrence of Saint John and Bob Lawrence (Judy) of Norton; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Christina, Jessica, Roland, Damian and Bradley; great-grandchildren, Ciara and Selene; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, Harold was also predeceased by his granddaughter, Emma. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 12:00 Noon. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
