Obituary of Lois Katherine Kidd
The death of Lois Katherine (Wilson) Kidd of Saint John West occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, April 29, 2016. Born in Saint John, NB, the daughter of the late Henry W. Wilson and Helen C. (Law) Wilson. Lois is survived by special friends; special nieces in Alberta, Ann and Heather; nephews and nieces; great nephews and great nieces, great great nephews and nieces as well as cousins. Lois was predeceased by her husband (Jack) John D. Kidd; daughter Cindy and son Christopher. Lois was the last member of her immediate family being predeceased by brothers Jack Wilson and Gordon Wilson. She enjoyed bridge, reading, cooking and her time spent in Florida as well as summering in Belmont. She was a past member of the Westfield Golf and Country Club as well as the Thistle St. Andrews Curling Club. She was a member of St. Mark’s United Church. Many thanks are expressed to Dr. Thornhill, Extra Mural, 24 hour support workers and to all those who made it possible for Lois to remain in her home for many years. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 10:00 AM from St. Mark’s United Church, 50 Dexter Drive, Saint John West. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Bobby’s Hospice or to St. Mark’s United Church.
