Obituary of Sandra Joan LeBlanc
It is with great sadness that the family of Sandra Joan LeBlanc, loving wife to the late Lawrence LeBlanc, announced her passing which occurred on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her family by her side. Born on June 19, 1945 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Mullin) Myers.
Sandra’s first passion in life was her family. She loved them unconditionally. Her second was gardening. Everything she planted thrived and produced beauty. Momma liked knitting, reading, and crossword puzzles. She had a heart as strong as steel and soft as velvet. Her zest for life led her to build relationships wherever she went. She was an active member of the GoodLife gym as well as a volunteer at the Kingsway Care Home. When she lost her beloved husband she became a member of the "Chicks group for widows" helping many others on their difficult journey.
Sandra will be lovingly remembered by her children: Kim (Carlos) Nunes, Larry (Joanne Tansey) LeBlanc, Kevin (Sherri) LeBlanc, Sandi Wood (Bob), Darren (Bev) LeBlanc and Jeffery LeBlanc, her grandchildren: Nicholas, Cassie, Danielle, Cody, Lucas, Liam, Micheline, Darren Jr., Sarah and Devin, brothers: Wayne Myers and Joseph (Peggy) Myers along with many nieces, nephews and members of her extended family.
Besides her parents and husband of 49 years, Larry, Sandra was predeceased by her brother James Myers, mother and father in law, Beatrice and Clarence LeBlanc as well as daughter-in-law Shirley.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). In honour of Sandra’s request, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, February 9 at 2:00 PM, reception to follow.
