Obituary of Irene Sarah Straight

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Irene Sarah Straight announces her passing, which occurred on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the Loch Lomond Village. Born April 25, 1927, she was a daughter of the late James and Sarah (Baskin) Kyle. Irene joined the staff of the General Hospital in 1964. She started with the housekeeping department for ten years, working into a lab porter position. Irene was known for her laugh, her smile, and her wicked sense of humour. Irene is survived by her sons Kim, Kenneth and Wayne Straight; daughters Sharon and Karen Straight; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren,one great-great- grandchild, as well as nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Kenneth, her siblings, son Raymond and her daughter Carol Green. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, N.B. (634-7424). There will be no visitation or funeral service at this time.
