Obituary of Nancy Anne McCoy
McCoy, Nancy Anne – With appreciation for a life well-lived, the family of Nancy A. McCoy announces her passing, which occurred on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at her residence surrounded by those she loved. Born in Saint John on October 2, 1937, she was a daughter of the late William Sr. and Gertrude (Murphy) Bartlett. Nancy was a strong woman who loved her family, and always put them first. In her younger years she was an avid swimmer and skater. She always looked forward to gathering with her family for one of their weekly card games. Nancy will be missed by her daughters, Heather Melanson, Nancy Fraser (Terry), Sherry Turrett (Hector); her grandchildren, Colton Melanson, Brandon and Chantelle Fraser and Samantha Turrett; her sisters, Joan Richard (Guy), Dawn Smith and Linda Steele (the late Wayne); her husband, Robert McCoy; special caregiver, Hannah and her daughter Olivia; as well as many nieces, nephews, and people whose lives she touched throughout the years. In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her siblings, Betty Achorn (Edwin), Ruth Bonner (Tommy), Billy Bartlett (Marie), Donnie Bartlett and Jimmy Bartlett. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 am from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances made to New Brunswick Extra Mural Program or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
