Obituary of Lloyd Alton Calhoun
It is with profound sadness that the family of Lloyd (Rory) Calhoun announces his passing on Wednesday, February 6, 2019.
Beloved special friend of Theresa Daigle; loving father of Phil (Sandra) and Cindy (Andra); proud grandfather of Ryan (Jill), Chrissy Maxwell (Adam) and Kyle; great-grandfather to Olivia, Julia, Lucy, Jake and Cassidy; brother of Ed (Anita), Neal (Sheila), Audrey Hicks (late Gerald), Deanna Cavanaugh (Eugene), Joan Porter (Perry), Carla Porter (Kevin), Cynthia Hardy and was predeceased by his sister, Phyllis Calhoun. Lloyd will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Lloyd left New Brunswick in the late fifties and worked in various mines. (Renabie, Rio Algom and Denison Mines). He then returned back to his home town of Boiestown, New Brunswick. Lloyd was known for his storytelling and many jokes. He will be truly missed by many.
At Lloyd’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, New Brunswick (506-634-7424).
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
