Obituary of Valerie Joan Webster
Valerie Joan (Agate) Fournet Webster passed away on March 13, 2016. Born in Saint John on October 26, 1922 she was the daughter of the late William & Louise (Goss) Agate. She lived in New Orleans, Louisiana for many years where she was employed as a legal secretary. Joan relocated to Cardiff, South Wales for 23 years before returning to Saint John. She was predeceased by her first husband, Earl Fournet of New Orleans and by her second husband, Jack Webster of Cardiff. Joan will always be loved and missed by her only child, Elizabeth Fournet Tunstall and son-in-law Robert Tunstall of New Orleans. Her siblings include the late Kenneth Keeling, late Douglas Keeling and late Jean (Keeling) Macauley as well as Fern (Keeling) Dawson, Harold Keeling and Shirley (Keeling) Daigle. She is also survived by her cousins, Elizabeth (Goss) Malcolm, Margaret (Goss) Oliver and Mary (Goss) Wanamaker. Joan loved writing poetry, playing piano, dogs and her many activities with the residents of Chateau de Champlain. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Keeping with Joan’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A private funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 11:30 am in Brenan’s Chapel for family only.
